Josh Smith x Mekanism Skateboards

“When we last reported on Mekanism Skateboards, they were working together with Dirk Skreber on a set of decks. For their first project of 2009, however, they turned to New York artist, Josh Smith, who was given 200 decks and total creative freedom. The result is 200 completely unique decks covered in oil, spray paint, and enamel.”

Check out this chance encounter the lucky bas@*%rds from Woodward ATL had tonight!

“Earlier tonight a few of us went to my art show at the 5 Spot in Little 5 points.
After the show we drove over to Fellini’s to get a slice of pizza. As were sitting there we see two white vans pop up in the parking lot and one of them is covered in Matix stickers…All kinds of legends popped up out of those vans!

…Guy Mariano, Justin Eldridge, Jeron Wison, Sean Malto, Brandon Biebel, Chris Roberts, Jesus Fernandez, Ty Evans, Marc Johnson and Atiba Jefferson…

are all in ATL this week filming for the up and coming Chocolate video!

We were only able to get one pic because they were all spread out in Fellini’s.
